Abstract

Land registration systems are crucial for establishing land rights, facilitating transactions, and promoting transparency in land management. Traditional land registries often suffer from issues such as fraud, corruption, data inaccuracies, and lack of transparency, especially in developing regions. Blockchain technology offers a decentralized, immutable ledger that can revolutionize land registry processes by ensuring data security, transparency, and efficiency. This paper explores the potential application of blockchain-based digital land registry systems in Surkhandarya, Uzbekistan. It reviews existing models, assesses their suitability for regional implementation, and presents a pilot framework for integrating blockchain solutions into the current land management infrastructure. The results demonstrate that blockchain can significantly reduce transaction times, enhance data security, and build stakeholder trust. The paper concludes with policy recommendations and future directions for scaling blockchain land registries across Surkhandarya.
