TECHNIQUES OF PERFORMING HUMUROUS LANGUAGE PLAY IN UZBEK AND ENGLISH USING COLLOQUIAL AND PUBLICISTIC STYLES
Abstract
This article examines the phenomenon of humorous discourse and the role of polysemy in the creation of language play within publicistic and colloquial styles in English and Uzbek. It presents a classification and comparative analysis of the linguistic means employed, highlighting differences and similarities between the two languages. The findings indicate that while both languages utilize similar theoretical mechanisms, the realization of humor through language play differs significantly, shaped by the structural and cultural features of each language.References
