TOXICOALLERGIC TONSILLITIS WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF GLOMERULONEPHRITIS
Abstract
Toxic-allergic tonsillitis (TAT) is an inflammatory disease of the tonsils that develops as a result of a delayed immune response to a streptococcal infection. This condition, through immunological mechanisms, can affect other systems of the body, particularly the kidneys, leading to the development of glomerulonephritis. This article discusses the pathogenesis, clinical course, diagnosis, and treatment methods of glomerulonephritis associated with TAT.
