CONTEXTUAL LAYERS OF DISCOURSE: A SOCIO-COGNITIVE PERSPECTIVE
Abstract
This article explores the concept of discourse as a dynamic process shaped by linguistic memory and socio-cultural contexts. Additionally, various contextual factors influencing discourse interpretation are analyzed, including linguistic, existential, situational, actional, and psychological contexts. The role of internal context is also considered, demonstrating how external socio-cultural factors integrate into individual cognitive and communicative processes. The complex interplay of these elements underscores the necessity of a multi-dimensional approach to discourse analysis, bridging linguistics with the study of social formations.
