LANGUAGE, THOUGHT, AND REALITY: A COGNITIVE LINGUISTIC PERSPECTIVE
Abstract
Language is not merely a tool for communication; it shapes our thoughts and influences our perceptions of reality. The intricate relationship between language, thought, and reality has been a subject of philosophical inquiry, linguistic analysis, and cognitive science. This article invites us to consider how the words we use can affect our understanding of the world and ourselves and delves into this relationship, highlighting the cognitive linguistic perspective that emphasizes the interconnectedness of linguistic structures and mental processes.
