Abstract

Communication is a foundational element in parent-adolescent relationships, playing a pivotal role in fostering emotional security, trust, and mutual understanding. As adolescents undergo rapid physical, emotional, and psychological changes, effective communication with parents becomes increasingly important. This article explores the role of communication in shaping healthy parent-adolescent relationships, identifies the characteristics of effective communication, examines common barriers, and outlines strategies to enhance communication between parents and adolescents. The goal is to support stronger family bonds and promote positive adolescent development.
