ECONOMIC REGULATION OF THE IMPACT OF MOTOR VEHICLES IN LARGE CITIES
Abstract
This study examines the economic regulation of motor vehicles in large cities and its impact on urban development and sustainability. As urban populations continue to grow, the reliance on motor vehicles exacerbates traffic congestion, environmental degradation, and public health issues. This paper explores the effectiveness of regulatory frameworks, such as congestion pricing and emissions standards, in mitigating these challenges. Additionally, the integration of smart city initiatives and alternative mobility solutions is analyzed to highlight innovative strategies that promote sustainable urban living. The findings emphasize the necessity of cohesive policy measures to balance economic growth with ecological sustainability and social equity in urban environments.
