MANUAL LABOR IS TRENDING: WHY PEOPLE ARE TURNING TO CRAFT PROFESSIONS IN UZBEKISTAN

Abstract

The resurgence of interest in handicrafts and crafts is a global phenomenon that is beginning to emerge in Uzbekistan. This article explores the factors driving this trend, including economic opportunities, changing public perceptions, and the influence of social media. Through a literature review and analysis of socio-economic data, we examine why younger generations in Uzbekistan are increasingly considering crafts as viable and attractive career options. This article focuses on the economic performance of handicrafts in Uzbekistan and the introduction of digital technologies in this area, and analyzes the role and importance of handicrafts in the country’s economy. It considers the possibilities of increasing the efficiency of production and marketing of handicrafts using digital technologies. It examines the prospects for the development of handicrafts through the introduction of innovations and IT solutions in the industry. It concludes by offering recommendations for enhancing the role of digital technologies in handicrafts.
