IMPROVEMENT OF LIVER FUNCTIONAL STATUS AS PART OF COMPREHENSIVE THERAPY IN PATIENTS WITH SEPSIS
Abstract
Sepsis remains one of the leading causes of multiple organ failure, where the functional state of the liver plays a key role in determining disease prognosis. This paper examines contemporary approaches to improving liver function in patients with sepsis as an integral component of comprehensive therapy. The mechanisms of liver injury in sepsis are outlined, including the development of hypoperfusion, oxidative stress, and inflammatory response.
