THE DIAGNOSTIC AND PROGNOSTIC SIGNIFICANCE OF IRON DEFICIENCY ANEMIA IN ENDOTHELIAL DYSFUNCTION AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES
Abstract
This comprehensive study investigates the critical role of iron deficiency anemia (IDA) in the pathogenesis of endothelial dysfunction and its contribution to cardiovascular disease progression. Through a multi-center prospective cohort analysis of 1,242 patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD), we demonstrate that IDA (Hb <120 g/L in men, <110 g/L in women) is independently associated with:
