THE ROLE OF LEARNING STRATEGIES IN TEACHING ENGLISH VOCABULARY
Abstract
Learning strategies play a pivotal role in the process of acquiring English vocabulary. This paper examines the effectiveness of various learning strategies that can be employed by both teachers and learners to enhance vocabulary retention and usage. The study explores the impact of direct and indirect strategies on vocabulary acquisition and highlights the need for a strategic approach to teaching vocabulary in ESL classrooms. The findings suggest that incorporating a range of strategies can significantly improve learners' vocabulary mastery.References
