THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN'S RIGHTS IN ISLAM
Abstract
The protection of childrens rights within the framework of Islam is a subject that intertwines ethical, legal, and social dimensions, reflecting the religions profound commitment to safeguarding the dignity and welfare of the young. Islamic teachings articulate a clear set of principles that prioritize childrens well-being, emphasizing care, education, and protection from harm. From an early age, children are afforded rights that encompass not only their physical and emotional security but also their spiritual and intellectual development. This holistic view, rooted in religious texts and historical practices, forms a foundation that advocates for justice and equity in treatment. In a contemporary context, examining these rights invites a critical analysis of how they are upheld or compromised in different cultural settings, posing vital questions about compliance with the principles of Islam in today’s world. Thus, understanding these rights is essential for fostering a more just society where children can thrive.
