"TYPES AND CLASSIFICATION OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS EXPRESSING THE CONCEPT OF FRIENDSHIP/DO’STLIK IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK"
Abstract
This article investigates the types and classification of phraseological units that express the concept of friendship in English and Uzbek languages. The study highlights the semantic and cultural dimensions of such expressions, comparing their figurative meanings, linguistic structures, and usage contexts. Special attention is given to idiomatic expressions, proverbs, and collocations that reflect the social and emotional bonds of friendship. The analysis reveals both universal and culturally specific elements in phraseological systems of the two languages.
