Abstract

This article analyzes the development of virtual communication genres and their linguistic and pragmatic characteristics. The research is based on written communications and posts from various virtual platforms. The article discusses the classification of virtual communication genres and their role in social and cultural contexts. The findings of the study reveal the emergence of new genres—memes, stickers, emojis, and abbreviations—based on technological possibilities, user needs, and cultural differences. This research highlights the importance of virtual communication in social life and its role in enhancing communicative effectiveness.
