EFFECT OF WEEDING ON LEAF AREA IN RELATION TO SEEDLING THICKNESS IN MEDIUM FIBER COTTON CULTIVARS
Abstract
This article presents data on the formation of leaf area in medium-fiber cotton varieties S-6524, S-6560, and UzPITI-202 under different plant densities, as well as the effect of topping on leaf area depending on plant spacing. It was found that as plant density increases, the leaf area per plant decreases, while the total leaf area per hectare increases. In addition, topping was observed to have a significant impact on leaf area development.
