Abstract

This article examines the development of gender equality in Uzbekistan during the period of democratic change. A study of the current legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the areas of gender policy is carried out. Fundamentals of gender order formed by state policy to achieve gender equality at the present time. The goals of involving women in social activities and the political life of the country, the formation and changes of official discourses of state regulation of the family are investigated. Gender stereotypes are revealed that change the gender policy of Uzbekistan for many years.
