Abstract

Symmetric encryption is a cryptographic method used to protect data using a single key. In this encryption method, the sender and receiver use the same secret key.

  • Open Text (Plaintext) is a plaintext available before encryption.
  • Encryption algorithm (Encryption Algorithm) – encrypts text using a secret key.
  • Encrypted text (Ciphertext) is the resulting encrypted, unintelligible text.
  • Decryption algorithm-reopens text using the same secret key.
  • Open Text recovery (Plaintext) – Open Text returns to its original state.
