THE SIGNIFICANCE OF MUSIC FOR TEACHING ENGLISH

Abstract

This article analyzes the impact of multifaceted role of melody, encompassing intonation and rhythm, in significantly enhancing English language teaching and learning.  The article examines how melodic elements often overlooked in traditional pedagogical approaches, contribute to improved pronunciation accuracy, developed listening comprehension, more effective vocabulary acquisition, and the overall development of strong communicative competence. It is also interpreted how integrating musicality into language learning can transform the classroom experience, making it more engaging, effective, and enjoyable for both learners and instructors.
