SOME FEATURES OF PROVERBS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK
Abstract
This paper explores the distinctive features of proverbs in English and Uzbek languages, focusing on their cultural, semantic, and structural characteristics. The study examines the historical development of paremiology and its contributions to understanding the universality and diversity of proverbs. It also discusses the syntactic structures of proverbs, including their use in compound and complex sentences, to reveal their deeper cultural and linguistic significance.
