Abstract

This article explores the intricate interrelationship between language and culture, highlighting their mutual influence on human identity and social cohesion. It emphasizes how language serves not only as a tool for communication but also as a vessel for cultural expression, encapsulating the values, traditions, and historical experiences of a people. The discussion extends to the concept of mentality, which reflects the collective mindset and worldview shaped by cultural and linguistic contexts. By examining examples from the Uzbek and English languages, the article illustrates how specific terms embody cultural significance and contribute to the understanding of national identity. Ultimately, the article underscores the importance of this interrelationship in preserving cultural heritage and fostering a sense of belonging within communities.
