IMPROVING NEEDLE STRENGTH IN NONWOVEN NEEDLE PUNCHING MACHINES
Abstract
Needle punching is a crucial method in nonwoven fabric production, wherein barbed needles are employed to entangle fibers to form fabric structures. One of the major challenges in needle-punching technology is the wear and failure of the needles, particularly in the context of high-speed production. Improving the strength and durability of needles used in needle-punching machines is essential for enhancing efficiency, reducing maintenance costs, and increasing production output. This article reviews the factors that influence needle strength and presents potential solutions, including material selection, needle geometry optimization, surface treatments, an.
