Abstract

This article presents improvements to the separator's construction to reduce air pressure in the working chamber during cotton separation from pneumatic transport air and to increase the effective surface area of the mesh. Reducing air pressure enhances the mesh surface's utility, and parameters that minimize fiber loss while increasing cleaning efficiency are identified.
