ABSOLUTE LIGHT: A PHILOSOPHICAL, HISTORICAL, MYSTICAL AND HERMENEUTICAL STUDY
Abstract
This article is dedicated to a philosophical investigation of the concept of Absolute Light as a central symbol of knowledge, truth, and being in the philosophical traditions of Islam, the East, and the West. The author examines light as a manifestation of inner and epistemological truth, comparing its interpretations through mystical (Ibn Arabi), rational (Ibn Sina), hermeneutical (Gadamer, Ricoeur), Neoplatonic (Plato), Vedic (Upanishads), Daoist (Laozi), Buddhist (Nagarjuna, Lama Tsongkhapa, Padmasambhava), and Christian (Augustine, Calvin) perspectives.
