THE ROLE OF BODY LANGUAGE IN ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE

Abstract

Body language is collection of non-verbal actions which express the real emotion, character, attitude and intentions without the use of words. It is conveyed eye contact, posture, gesture, facial expression and plays a vital role in communication. In this study, the ways were analyzed which illustrate how to act human body during in the various situations especially in academic field and compared differences in different cultures. Through the observation it was checked how much the spoken speech and body language match and it was determined what actions were signs of agreement when seeing a certain action. According to a survey of Uzbekistan State World Languages University, 50% of group 1 agreements failed. However, group 2 who already know about how to respond to body language, began to reach agreement 93%. Overall, human body always says truth and the ability for read it leads to success in kind of situation.
