Abstract

Relevance of the Topic. Fractures of the femur and pelvis remain critical challenges in modern trauma and orthopedic medicine due to their significant mortality rates, high risk of complications, and extended recovery periods. Epidemiological studies underscore a persistent increase in the incidence of these fractures, driven by the aging population and the growing prevalence of osteoporosis. For instance, in European and North American countries, the incidence of proximal femoral fractures among women over 50 years of age reaches 500–600 cases per 100,000 annually, emphasizing their substantial medical and socioeconomic burden.
